Our Lucy was 14 and had a short battle (3 months) with Lymphoma. She was such a beautiful and a “mellow” Beagle (as our vet would describe). We (she) chose us in May 1998 and for 14 years was as faithful as any dog could be. Our hearts ache completely for her and she will be missed deeply.
Lucy didn’t miss a beat. She loved being with us and we loved being with her. She traveled the country with us and even went to Canada as a puppy for a family vacation. In this photo, we are camping on the Snowy Range in Wyoming and she was out hunting squirrels. Her nose hit the ground and off she went, just as any beagle would do.
She loved her walks at night and would tell us it was time after dinner nearly every night. Thank you to Dr. Cooney and Dr. Boal who helped make this time as easy as possible. Dr. Boal is an absolute professional. HometoHeaven was the right choice for us. Dr. Cooney was awesome in answering our questions and helping us.
Lucy will be taking one last camping trip with us this month to one of our favorite spots. We will “set her free” and know that everytime we are there, she’ll be there with us too. We love you little girl. We’ll see you at the other end of the rainbow.
